Joe Flynn (born 14 March 1983) is a British actor, musician and poet.[1] He is also known as Johnny Flynn when he fronts for the band Johnny Flynn & The Sussex Wit.

Personal life

Flynn was born in Cape Town, South Africa, and at the age of 3 he moved with his family to Hampshire, UK, where he spent the rest of his childhood.[1][2] His father is Eric Flynn.

Career

Joe Flynn attended Bedales School.

In 2005 he was one of Screen International's Stars Of Tomorrow. He is best known for his starring role of Dolf Vega in the film Crusade in Jeans (2006). He had smaller parts in television series Murder in Suburbia, Holby City and Kingdom. In 2007 he played Curtis (The Taming of the Shrew) and Sebastian (Twelfth Night) with Propeller on tour.[3]
